HR Coordinator (Contract)

Location :  Houston, TX (NW Area)

Title: Human Resources Coordinator
Status: 6 Month Contract Assignment
Location: NW Houston

Summary: Expanding Valve Manufacturing company is seeking an HR Coordinator to provide support in various areas such as employee relations, payroll, benefits and compensation, policy and procedure compliance, and other corporate human resource initiatives.

Principle Responsibilities:
•Maintains department records ensuring complete accuracy, and confidentiality.
•Assists with new hire orientation.
•Prepares / maintains new and current employee files.
•Provides administrative support.
•Assists with processing ADP payroll.
•Ensures the HRIS data is accurate.
•Performs customer service functions by responding to employee requests, and questions.
•Must comply with company safety rules and regulations and wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds.
•Other projects and duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

•High School diploma or GED. Some college preferred.
•Minimum of two years directly related Human Resource experience.
•Self-motivated and detail oriented.
•Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.
•Experience with using ADP payroll software required.
•General knowledge of various employment laws and practices.
•Able to exhibit a high level of confidentiality.
•Self- starter that must be able to identify and solve problems in a timely manner
•Effective problem-solving skills
•Strong written and verbal communication skills.
