Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all electrical and electronic systems in order to maintain or improve equipment efficiencies to help meet or exceed company goals.
A. Responsible for utilizing PLCs and other troubleshooting techniques to observe electrical and electronic devices/systems to locate, isolate, and repair causes of problems.
B. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on all equipment as required.
C. Communicate with production department operators, supervisors and other plant personnel to help understand equipment issues.
D. Utilize knowledge and experience to recommend and help implement equipment modifications and materials fabrication to improve equipment efficiency and/or safety.
E. Install and test new equipment as required.
F. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and equipment manuals.
G. Perform minor repairs on mechanical systems.
H. Assist mechanical maintenance as needed.
INCUMBENT ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE
This position will report directly to the Electrical Maintenance Supervisor and will not have any direct reports.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
•High School Diploma or GED
•5 years minimum industrial electrical/electronic equipment maintenance and repair
•Able to speak, read, and write in English
•Strong electrical and electronic troubleshooting skills
•Experience using testing equipment.
•Ability to decipher schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
•Able to work rotating shifts (days, evenings, nights, and weekends)
•Electrical/Electronic Engineering Degree
•Experience utilizing test instruments such as O-Scope, Digital and Analog Multimeters, and Meggers.
•Experience with PLCs and AB Rockwell software.
•Experience with induction heating power supplies.
•Experience with Variable Frequency Drives.
•Experience with CNC lathes.
•Experience in metal manufacturing.
•Some minor experience with mechanical systems.
